NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
Write to the school if you wish to change your preference to attend or withdraw your child from special religious education (formerley referred to as scripture). Special education in ethics is an option at some schools for your primary-age child if you withdraw them from special religious education. For more information, visit Religion and Ethics
At our school students have the option to attend Special Religious Education (SRE) or alternate meaningful activities. Students will attend at negotiated times with the providers that meet the compliance requirements.
If you do not choose for your child to participate in SRE they will participate in alternative meaningful activities supervised and organised by classroom teachers. Examples of these activities may include team building tasks, mindfulness and other wellbeing based activities.
